Peace Is At Hand

I know you join me in welcoming the news that President Trump and his team have brokered a peace deal between the State of Israel and Hamas.

I joined a diverse group of leaders from around the world in giving thanks to President Trump and wishing both the people of Gaza and Israel the very best as they work towards peace and the process rolls out.

At last, we are on the cusp of peace and prosperity awaits for all. The Israeli hostages and their families will soon be reunited with each other after over 700 days apart from each other. This is all due to the hard work and dedication of President Trump and his remarkable team. This could not be happening without their strength, determination, and commitment to peace and prosperity for all.

No President has ever been worthier of the Nobel Peace Prize. Already we see this year’s winner, Maria Corina Machado, crediting President Trump for his diplomatic work. Hopefully, next year the Nobel Committee will make the same consideration. It's time for them to put partisan politics aside and recognize the sheer diplomatic significance of what President Trump has accomplished worldwide in under a year.

When the Democrats are finally ready to return to work, we must pass the PEACE Act in order to build on what President Trump has accomplished this week by strengthening our great nation's diplomatic engagement by institutionalizing training on the Abraham Accords. Our future diplomats must be equipped to advance regional cooperation to bring long-term stability and security to the region.

It is possible for adults, committed to the best interests of humanity, to put partisan politics aside in the pursuit of peace. Just this year, I reached across the aisle to work with Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) to introduce the Promoting Education on the Abraham Accords for Comprehensive Engagement (PEACE) Act, which will strengthen U.S. diplomatic engagement by institutionalizing training on the Abraham Accords and other normalization agreements at the U.S. State Department.

I believe that the PEACE Act is vital to maintaining the United States’ leadership role in the Middle East while ensuring future diplomats are equipped to advance regional cooperation.

I am committed to shaping bipartisan foreign policy that provides long-term stability and security in the region.

Leading the Charge

When Americans send their hard-earned money to Washington, they expect it to be used wisely to secure our borders, to defend our nation, and to provide essential services that protect our citizens. What they do not expect is for their tax dollars to bankroll the latest ideological fads of the radical left, especially experiments that are as immoral as they are unnecessary.

That is why I am leading a group of House Republicans in demanding that Fiscal Year 2026 spending bills include explicit language prohibiting federal funding for transgender experiments on animals.

Let’s be clear: no one should be forced to subsidize radical gender ideology, let alone grotesque experiments that inflict suffering on animals in the name of “gender transition science.” This is not medical research; it’s political theater disguised as science. The American people should not be compelled to fund it, and innocent animals should not be subjected to it.

The transgender movement has enjoyed a torrent of government support in recent years from the former Biden administration. From education to healthcare, from the military to federal research grants, the Biden administration has used every lever of power to push gender ideology into every corner of American life. The result has been billions of taxpayer dollars funneled into projects that redefine biology, undermine parental rights, and confuse children.

Now we learn that animals such as monkeys, mice, and other creatures are being experimented on in the pursuit of “transition science.” This means researchers are mutilating animals, pumping them with hormones, and running invasive experiments to “prove” theories that defy both common sense and basic biology. It is a moral outrage.

The conservative movement has long stood for compassion toward those who cannot defend themselves, the unborn, the vulnerable, and yes, even animals. Americans overwhelmingly oppose cruelty toward animals, and federal law already imposes strict guidelines on research institutions. Yet somehow, “gender transition experiments” on animals have slipped through the cracks.

What possible scientific benefit can come from mutilating a rabbit or drugging a monkey with cross-sex hormones? None. These experiments are not about medical advancement; they are about normalizing the transgender agenda by creating artificial “data” that scientists can cite to justify transitioning humans. It is politics disguised as medicine, with animals paying the price.

The broader issue is that America’s research institutions have been captured by ideology. Bureaucrats at the NIH and other agencies are pouring money into projects that align with the left’s cultural priorities. The radicalization of science is one of the most dangerous trends in our nation today. When science becomes a tool of politics, it ceases to be science at all.

We have already seen the consequences. During COVID-19, government “experts” silenced dissenting voices and manipulated data to push lockdowns and school closures that devastated millions of families. Today, the same forces are working to enshrine transgender ideology into the very core of American medicine. They want to use taxpayer dollars not to heal the sick or protect the vulnerable, but to advance a worldview that tells our children gender is fluid and biology is meaningless.

That’s why this fight matters. Blocking funding for transgender experiments on animals is not just about protecting monkeys in a lab. It’s about protecting America from the corruption of science by ideology.

The American people are tired of being told they must subsidize every new radical idea. They are tired of bureaucrats in Washington using their money to undermine common sense and basic morality. And they are tired of politicians who lack the courage to say “enough.”

That’s why I am proud to lead this fight. The spending bills for Fiscal Year 2026 must include language explicitly prohibiting federal funding for transgender experiments on animals. Anything less would be a betrayal of taxpayers and of our values.

This is not a partisan issue. It is a moral issue. No matter your political affiliation, you should be able to agree that the government should not fund cruelty to animals in service of a radical social experiment. You should be able to agree that taxpayers should not be forced to bankroll the erasure of biology and the indoctrination of our youth.

Transgender ideology does not deserve the imprimatur of science, let alone the dollars of hardworking American taxpayers. And innocent animals certainly should not be made to suffer so activists can feel validated.

Enough is enough. Not one penny. Not one experiment. Not one more step down this dangerous road.

The American people deserve better. Our children deserve better. And the animals who have no voice at all deserve better. That’s why I will keep leading this charge, because the line must be drawn here, and it must be drawn now. This isn't politics - it's common sense.
